Van Wagenen is inspired, delightful, and wholly likeable. The experiment she develops — to see if following 1950’s popularity advice will help her achieve what she already has wholesale– is charming and completely believable. I can’t say enough great stuff about this little book!

To be frank, I think she’s doing a lot of the same things Palacio did in WONDER, but using a non-fiction platform, and that works well. It could be a banner book in the “it gets better” campaign. 🙂
