Shadow of Night

I enjoyed four things about this book: Phillippe and what happened at Sept-Tours, the way Harkness accounted for the historical anomalies in the future/present, the discovery around Ashmole 782, and Gallowglass. I am re-reading it just to make sure that I didn’t miss anything wonderful in my haste during the first reading.  But so far, I haven’t found much. Shadow of Night worked well enough for me to plan on reading book 3, but not well enough for me to really, really cheer for it.
