Revision: addressing each faux pas and plot hole, adjusting characters and dialogue, assessing my own strength of belief in my work.

It is scary. And painful. Big, long passages of text have to be cut and thrown away. Wastebasket material.

But ouch.

So I created a new file on my computer.  I call it “Snippets.” Whenever I see a long passage I need to cut, I paste it into my Snippets file. Like the scraps left after making a quilt, I will probably never use these pieces again. But I feel better knowing they still exist somewhere.
